Legal papers for Chinese citizens to be married in Greece

1. COPY OF THE PASSPORTS OF THE BOTH PARTIES.

2. FULL BIRTH CERTIFICATES OF BRIDE AND GROOM.

Both parties are obliged to provide full Birth Certificate. Short versions will not be accepted.

3. CERTIFICATE OF NON IMPEDIMENT FOR BOTH.

This document confirms that you have not been married and that you are free to be married. This document must not be issued more then three months prior to your wedding.

4. DIVORCE CERTIFICATE IF ANY.

In case that any of the parties is divorced, please provide a certified copy of the Decree Absolute.

5. OFFICIAL DOCUMENT ABOUT CHANGING THE NAME IF ANY.

6. ADOPTION CERTIFICATES IF ANY.

All documents must be translated at the Greek Embassy/ Consulate in your country where translation services are available.

Please ensure and confirm that all your documents are in order at least four weeks prior to your departure from your country.

You will need to bring all the original documets with you once you confirm that the documents are in order.

You will be required to stay in Greece for at least,1 (one) working day after the wedding to register the wedding and the Town Hall after which your Marriage Certificate will be sent to you by post.
